Enjoy free unlimited WiFi on your Lakes Cottage Holiday

Guests visiting Brockstone, our Lake District holiday cottage, have always been able to use the free WiFi at nearby White Moss House.

From April 2014 ( if BT fulfil their promise) there will be glorious free WiFi at Brockstone Cottage. This should be up and running from Thursday 3 April, which is also the day when our new lounge carpet is fitted at Brockstone.

We are always working to keep the standards high at our lovely cottage.

Here's a photo that I took in January whilst on a circular walk from Brockstone cottage up to Alcock Tarn and back. It's Grasmere Village with the Langdale Pikes in the background. The Alcock Tarn walk and other circular walks are described here.

Welcome to our Lake District Cottage, the perfect spot for your Lakes Holiday in 2014.

If you are looking for a Lake District cottage to rent, we could have just what you are looking for.

Our holiday rental cottage is called Brockstone, and if you already know the Lakes, you may well have walked past it. Our Lakes Cottage is situated on the famous walk between Grasmere and Rydal, which is sometime called "the coffin route". This dates back to before the building of Rydal Church in 1824, when the coffins had to be carried to St Oswald's Grasmere.

Nowadays the path from Rydal to Grasmere is much loved by walkers. Our cottage is the last one on the track as you leave Grasmere, walk past Dove Cottage, head up the hill and set off for Rydal Village.

Please bookmark this blog, as we'll be returning to it and adding to it all the time.

Meanwhile, here are some useful links.
